Dark and hollow the sky beyond,
Deep and murky the sea around.
With thunderous hooves they crash on my bow
Wet and desolate I am upto my brow.
With a torn flag and a broken hull, a ghostly ship beckons
To infinity and beyond, I get their summons.
The unwavering mist calls out to me,
So heavenly, I wonder what is to be
Of a paradise that I hear lays beneath,
As God descends with a holy wreath.
So easy it is to give up this fight
And to be anything than a ship upright,
For the seas below have treasures galore
Of men, of ships, of mysteries and more.
Never have I felt a wrath so beastly
Which brings with it force so ghastly.
But deep below is a calmness sublime
Unravaged by the sands of time.
I can stand the solitude no more no more
That has laid even the manliest in strife before.
As the sea engulfs me to its murky depths below
I feel a calmness as I await the final blow.
I drown and drown to be a part
Of those untold stories that have fallen apart.
Down I go to the bottom of the sea
This lonely, lonely sea.

Well written on the whole, but the part where the ship would like to join the men, treasures and mysteries below the sea is surprising, though however strong the sea is and even if u ready to give up, you wont be thinking of those things below IMO
ReplyDeleteTo Start with , its quite good one..specially because of using simple words and expressions :) keep it up
